Kristiina Tammisalo

Kristiina Tammisalo is a sociologist specializing in social relationships and well-being, and how they are impacted by digital technology.

In 2023 she defended her PhD on digital technology use in family relationships. Previously, she has studied parenthood and moral emotions. Tammisalo’s research approach combines both quantitative and qualitative methods and multiple theoretical frameworks, including evolutionary psychology, sociology, and media studies.
